* COVID19 has closed some coastal camps/accommodation/fishing-spot-access across Australia. The timeline for future reopenings is uncertain. Check your destination before making plans.

* South Australia has introduced bans on catching pink snapper because of stock depletion. Check the latest SA Fisheries regulations here before fishing.

* Western Australia has enlarged the Cockburn Sound/Warnbro Sound/Garden Island annually closed pink snapper area and extended the closure time. See the details here.

* Western Australia has introduced an annual seasonal crabbing closure from roughly Fremantle to Bunbury, and has also closed Cockburn sound to crabbing all year. See the details here.

* Western Australia's once famously rough and flood prone Dampier Peninsula road, near Broome, is now sealed.

* Western Australia's One-Mile Jetty at Carnarvon was destroyed by Cyclone Seroja in early 2021. The jetty's famous mulloway are probably still fishable by boat.

* Western Australia's Carlton Hill Road access to Cape Domett, Kimberley, may be closed. Check availability of access before fishing.

* Queensland has introduced what amounts to bans on catching jewfish, because of stock depletion. Check the latest Queensland Fisheries regulations here before fishing.

* Northern Territory coastal access has changed for some remote Aboriginal waters. Check with the Northern Land Council (NLC) website before fishing.

* The correct co-ordinate for Queensland's Clairview Creek mouth is approx 22 11.245S 149 33.565E in WGS84.

* The correct co-ordinate for Queensland's Curtin Artificial Reef in Moreton Bay is approx 27 06.620S 153 21.770E in WGS84.

* And some good news. The 2021 wet season was a big one for most of the north, after two poor wet seasons. A big Wet invariably brings on a good year of fishing. Daly River barramundi competition results in 2021 were excellent after good wet season flooding. The NT's Million Dollar Fish runs from October 2021 to March 2022.
