NAFF 12 (2017-18 edition) - corrections and updates

This book was released in late 2016. If you have update or correction information, please email it here.

Roper River: Roper Bar store is closed until further notice. Fuel use when travelling through this area must be planned carefully.

New NT boat ramps: Dundee Beach (Fog Bay) and Shady Camp (Mary River) have new boat ramps, but both remain heavily influenced by the tide. Shady Camp is all-tide only during wet season flooding, otherwise return trips to the ramp must be planned with care all there will be no water, and loads of crocodiles, awaiting your return.

Northern Territory access: Changes to fishing spot access in some areas is likely following successful Aboriginal "bed and bank" claims. Upcoming changes might include permits, exclusion or arrangements with the government that allow continuing free access. Areas that may be affected include the Daly, Adelaide, Roper and Mary Rivers, Cape Hotham and more. This will be an ongoing process as claims must first be decided by the courts, and then access discussions and decisions will follow. A Territory fishing licence will also be introduced. Watch for the latest news here, and at the Northern Land Council (NLC) website, the NT Government website, the Amateur Fishermen's Association NT (AFANT) website, and at www.fishingterritory.com.

A detailed Kenbi Land Claim map shows finalised changes to access of parts of Darwin and Bynoe Harbours, including some Cox Peninsula foreshore and nearby coastal reefs. The map of no-go zones is available at the NLC website here.
