Finniss River, NT: The local traditional owners have closed this river from a line about 13km upstream of the mouth at approx 12 54.197S 130 24.640E. This is not an official GPS mark - we will update this with official data as more info becomes available. It is our understanding that the freshwater Finniss River is still fishable from Hardcastle Rd ramp, but not the section of river which has Aboriginal land on both sides. We will provide a map here in due course of the fishable freshwater section. The lower river below the supplied GPS mark is under negotiation and may also be closed off at a future date. Negotiations were continuing in early April when this update was published. The closure is a result of powers handed to Aboriginal people by the Blue Mud Bay decision ... click HERE for details.

CORRECTION - Pages 160-161: The wreck key text is missing. Here is the missing text ...

A. Hull in deep water near cliffs. Exact position unknown.
B. Old Jetty Artificial Reef. Jewfish. 12 41.841S 130 37.315E (see GPS map on right page)
C. Series of bumps. Approx position marked.
D. Wreck: 12 41.633S, 130 38.571E, golden snapper.

(Please note that of these, Spot B - the old jetty wreck - is the best, and there is a map of it on page 161).
